BASIC SHREDDING OPERATION

Plug in and put  
Set to Auto-On (I)  
Feed into card/CD entry  
and release  
When finished shredding  
set to OFF (O)  
Feed paper straight  
into paper entry  
and release  
NOTE: Shredder runs briefly after each  
pass to clear entry. Continuous operation  
beyond 3 minutes will trigger a 30-minute  
cool down period.

Shredder doesn’t start:

Make sure head is on basket correctly  
Wait 30 minutes for motor to cool down  
Remove and empty basket  
Set to Reverse (R)  
for 2-3 seconds  
Alternate slowly back and forth  
Set to Off (O)  
and unplug  
Gently pull uncut  
paper from paper  
entry. Plug in.  
Set to Auto-On  
(I) and resume  
shredding

OILING SHREDDER  
CLEANING AUTO-START INFRARED SENSORS  
All cross-cut shredders require oil for peak performance. If not oiled, a

sensors may become blocked by paper dust causing the motor to run even if there is no paper present.

Turn off and unplug

Locate Auto-start  
infrared sensor  
Dip cotton swab in  
rubbing alcohol  
Using cotton swab, wipe  
away any contamination  
from the paper sensors  
Set to Reverse (R)  
2-3 seconds  
Set to Off (O)  
*Apply oil  
across entry  
*Only use a non-aerosol vegetable oil in long  
nozzle container such as Fellowes 35250
